We use your information to process race entries, communicate event updates, coordinate volunteers, respond to enquiries, and — where you've opted in — send marketing updates about future events. We don't use your information to make automated decisions that significantly affect you, and we have no plans to.
Your information is stored and processed through a small number of trusted platforms: Race Roster (registration and payments), MailerLite (email updates), and RaceResult (timing and results). Some of these providers store data outside Australia — where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information stays protected to a standard consistent with the APPs. With your consent, we may also share your email address with event sponsors and partners for marketing purposes. We never sell your personal information.
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access — including restricting access to the platforms above and relying on their own security practices. If a data breach occurs that's likely to result in serious harm, we'll notify affected individuals and the OAIC in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it's wrong, or ask us to delete it where it's no longer needed, you've withdrawn consent, or it was collected unlawfully.
